Needing a proof of address but dreading a trip to the bank? I get it. The queues, the paperwork - it’s a hassle. Luckily, if you're a Capitec client, you can get your proof of address right from your phone using the Capitec app. It’s a simple process that will save you a ton of time.

How to Get Your Proof of Address on the Capitec App
Getting your proof of address on the Capitec app is super easy. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
1. Open the Capitec App: First things first, open the Capitec app on your smartphone.
2. Sign In: Sign in to your account using your PIN or fingerprint.
3. Tap on Your Savings Account: On the home screen, you'll see your accounts. Tap on your savings account.
4. Tap the More Menu: In the top-right corner of the screen, you'll see three dots. Tap on them to open the menu.
5. Select “Send Account Confirmation”: From the menu, choose the “Send account confirmation” option.
6. Choose How to Send: You can then choose to send the proof of address to your email or download it to your phone.
7. Done!: And that's it! You now have your proof of address.
I had to do this recently to open a new clothing account. I was standing in the store and was able to email the proof of address to the consultant right there and then. It was so convenient!
